It would take up many pages of the
Diary to give a complete story of
June’s contribution to St. Stephens
church. Although joining us relatively
late in life, she became one of us in a
very special way. Her generosity, her
enthusiasm and her support, will be so
deeply missed.
June’s faith was simple: Love God and
love each other, and that’s how she lived.
Iris recalls one of their special times was in the Christmas
Season, when following choir practice, Iris would drive
home the long way home around Newport and
Williamstown so that they could check out the Christmas
Decorations. June loved the moon and it’s changes and
would tell Iris about the stars as they drove around the
waterfront. In her more active days, June travelled quite a
lot on bus tours. She took a helicopter ride, and travelled
to Norfolk Island too.
Who would forget seeing June buzzing around in her
brown VW beetle!
Rest in Peace June. You are much loved.
